We were amiss…in that we recently discovered this video interview of Nicholas Benes made some months ago, has been kindly made public by Econvue.com .   (Econvue provides succinct, timely, evidence-based research and commentary on economic topics that matter, delivered to your inbox. )  In it, Mr. Benes explains how a number of major steps forward have been made in Japan, but the next stage will require that investors really study the principles in the corporate governance code and communicate to investors the specific practices that they would like to see deployed.  We will soon see whether the June 2017 AGM season is starting to have that impact.
