Happy New Year,from all of us at BDTI!
Last year, I successfully proposed Japan's first corporate governance code, which is now being put into place with provisions regarding director training,board self-evaluation, independent directors, and a variety of other excellent practices.BDTI was busier than ever, offering director training and other programs to significantly more individuals and corporations than in 2013.
This year, we hope to further expand BDTI's activities so as to train ever more competent directors, both inside and outside, and spread knowledge about governance best practices. We'd like to express our gratitude toall of our Sustaining Donors, Founding and OtherDonors, Supporters, Advisors, and Forum contributors, for making possiblethe progress we have made so far.
