Kaname Capital LP, Partner/Head of Research
Nao Makino began his career in equity research at Morgan Stanley MUFG Securities after earning a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the University of Tokyo. In 2014, he joined Misaki Capital, where he focused on engagement investing in Japanese listed companies. He earned his MBA from Columbia Business School in 2022 and subsequently joined Kaname Capital LP, a Boston-based investment firm, as Head of Research. In 2024, he established and now leads the firm’s Tokyo research office.
