If you make a cash contribution to our foundation, your donation will be used solely for BDTI’s activities, most of which are summarized here and in more detail on our Japanese web site (please use Google Translate, etc.). if you are a taxpayer in Japan, please note that the donation will not only be tax-deductible according to the normal rules that govern gifts to “public-interest organizations” in Japan….but will also be eligible for special “tax credit” treatment that nearly doubles the tax benefit for most persons.
To donate by bank transfer or remittance, just download and fill out this donation form and send a scanned PDF to info@bdti.or.jp, or send it to us by fax (81-3-6432-2337) or mail. Payment instructions are on the form, which also has a link to BDTI’s Policy Regarding the Use of Donated Funds (which also can be found below). Or, just send a quick email to us with the same information on it.
To donate by credit card, please press this link. If you require a receipt, please check that box and we will send you one. It will be dated as of the day of your donation, but logistically it may take us up to two months to confirm receipt of funds and send it to you. Please also send us a quick email with this donation form filled out, so that we can confirm receipt of funds and facilitate if necessary. Please also see BDTI’s Policy Regarding the Use of Donated Funds, by clicking on the link below.
NOTE: If you are a U.S. taxpayer, you can also make “directed gifts” to BDTI that will be deductible for U.S. tax purposes, by donating using the services of Myriad at this link. Please make sure that you are inputting to the page on the Myriad web site that refers to BDTI. Please also send us a quick email, so that we can confirm receipt of funds, and facilitate if necessary. Donating via Myriad is not our preferred method, because it is administratively cumbersome for BDTI, but by all means use it if you prefer.
Donors of more than 300,000 Yen equivalent will be listed as “Special Sponsors” if they wish. “Sustaining Donors“ are those who have given more than 300,000 Yen per year on average since they first donated. There are also other ways to support BDTI, detailed here.
